This campsite has been voted the best in Scotland on multiple occasions, thanks to its magnificent location at Glen Nevis, with clear views of Ben Nevis (the UK’s highest mountain at 1,345m high (4,413ft)). There is space for caravans, tents and a high-spec Glamping Pods area with both single and double beds!
To provide adequate treatment of the wastewater from the site, SPEL manufactured 2no. SPEL Tankstor 400 Series aboveground Septic tanks with 60,000 litres capacity and designed to BS 6297. The third tank is a SPEL Tankstor balancing tank which both of the Septic Tanks connect into before discharging out of the balancing tank. The whole system was a part of a sewage treatment system that was designed by the contractor/consultant Dynamo Engineering.
The tanks were supplied complete with flanged inlet and outlet connections for easy connection to on-site pipework, flanged access shafts with bolted access shaft lids and stainless steel cradles for easy positioning and holding of the tanks aboveground.
For ease of maintenance the tanks were all supplied with 4” suction pipework for ease of removal of solid matter that will likely accumulate at the base of the tanks.
