Waste Water

There are three main ways of dealing with foul effluent, depending on the discharge:
Treatment plants are the preferred treatment solution and used where the discharge is to a to stream, pond, river or other surface water body.
In 2015, the law was changed so that septic tanks can longer discharge to a water body, but instead must be connected to a correctly sized soakaway.
These are used where neither of the above are a practical solution, it requires the content to be stored and then taken away via vacuum tanker at regular intervals.
SPEL also manufacture Primary Settlement Tanks, these form part of larger treatment systems and come in an extensive range of sizes.
